Criteria: Minimum 3.0 grade point average, registered for at least 6 credits, not eligible for a (Pell Grant), who have earned at least 26 credits at BCC.

Recipients are selected by the Financial Aid Office.
Designated Scholarships:
Numerous community organizations and Monmouth County residents have established permanent scholarships at Brookdale. These funds are managed by the Brookdale Foundation, and awarded annually to students meeting the donors’ criteria. Awards range from $250-$1000 per semester; approximately $40,000 is available each year.
Criteria: Varies by scholarships. Some scholarships have residency requirements (you must live in the town where the organization raises funds) and some require you to be enrolled in a particular major (nursing, teaching, etc.). Almost all require students to have at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Requirements: Must fill out a FAFSA and complete your Financial Aid.
Winners are selected by the Financial Aid Office, with the assistance of the Brookdale Foundation.
Community Scholarships: Both the Financial Aid Office and the Brookdale Foundation are notified by community organizations and other external sources about scholarships that are available for community college students. The funds from these groups are NOT managed by the Foundation; the winners of the scholarships are selected by the organizations and awarded directly to the student by the organizations.
